Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 14, 2026
Last updated: June 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how OutfitForge (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the OutfitForge mobile application (the “App”). By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the App.
1. Who We Are
OutfitForge is operated by Mustapha Oubouz (“Operator”).
- Contact email: mustaphaoubouz@gmail.com
- Postal address: [YOUR POSTAL ADDRESS]
- Country: [YOUR COUNTRY — e.g. Morocco]
If you have questions or want to exercise your rights under this Policy, you can contact us at the email above.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information when you use OutfitForge:
2.1 Information you provide directly
- Account information: email address and password when you sign up or sign in. We use Supabase (a hosted backend service) to manage authentication.
- Profile information: display name, gender, age range, and your selected style preferences.
- Clothing photos: images you upload of your wardrobe items, Pinterest inspiration screenshots, and product screenshots.
- Communications: messages you send to our AI Stylist Chat, and content you send us via email.
- Feedback: any voluntary feedback or support request you send.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, and time zone.
- Usage data: events and features you interact with (which features you open, how often, errors encountered). Used to improve the App.
- Approximate location: with your permission, we determine your city-level location to fetch weather and suggest weather-appropriate outfits.
- Advertising identifier (IDFA): with your permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework, used solely by AdMob to serve relevant advertisements to free-tier users.
2.3 Information collected from third parties
- Apple Sign In: if you choose this method, Apple shares your verified email (optionally hidden) and name.
- In-app purchase data: Apple shares transaction confirmations with our payment provider (RevenueCat) so we can grant Premium features.
We do not collect biometric data, contact lists, calendar events, health data, financial account data, precise GPS coordinates, or browsing history.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate core features: closet management, AI-driven outfit generation, Pinterest matching, shopping advice, travel packing plans, and AI Stylist Chat.
- Create and manage your account, and authenticate you on subsequent sessions.
- Process Premium subscriptions and grant entitlements.
- Send relevant push notifications (e.g., the daily outfit notification) — only after you have granted permission.
- Display advertisements to free-tier users via Google AdMob.
- Improve the App, fix bugs, and develop new features.
- Communicate with you about your account, our service, or your support requests.
- Comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. AI Processing of Your Photos and Messages
When you upload a clothing image or send a message to AI Stylist Chat, the relevant content is transmitted to OpenAI, our AI processing partner, to generate descriptions, classifications, outfit suggestions, or conversational replies. OpenAI processes this content under their own data processing terms and does not use your data to train their public models when accessed via the OpenAI API. We never send your email, name, or any identifier to OpenAI alongside your content.
You can review OpenAI’s privacy practices at https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
5. Third-Party Service Providers (Subprocessors)
We rely on the following third-party services. Each handles a specific category of data under their own privacy terms. By using OutfitForge, you acknowledge that your data may be processed by these providers.
If we change subprocessors, we will update this Policy.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The App itself does not use browser cookies. However:
- Some embedded WebKit views (such as legal links) may use cookies set by the destination website.
- AdMob may use device identifiers to serve relevant ads if you have granted tracking permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can revoke this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account from within the App (Settings → Delete account), we permanently delete:
- Your user profile in our database
- Your wardrobe items, uploaded images, and outfit history
- Your style reports, Pinterest matches, and shopping reports
- Your subscription records (Apple/RevenueCat will retain receipt history per their own policy)
Deletion is processed within 24 hours. Backup copies may persist for up to 30 days before being permanently overwritten.
Anonymized analytics events may be retained indefinitely for product analytics purposes.
8. International Data Transfers
Some of our subprocessors are located outside your country of residence (notably, in the United States). When data is transferred internationally, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or other appropriate safeguards required under applicable law.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (notably the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, Brazil, or Morocco), you have rights regarding your personal information, including:
- Right of access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right of rectification: request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right of erasure (right to be forgotten): request deletion of your data.
- Right to restrict processing.
- Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object to certain processing activities.
- Right to withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at mustaphaoubouz@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Children’s Privacy
OutfitForge is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in jurisdictions where the minimum age for data processing without parental consent is higher). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. Account Deletion
You can delete your OutfitForge account at any time from within the App: Settings → Delete account. This removes your data as described in Section 7. Cancelling your subscription does not automatically delete your account.
If you cannot access the App for any reason, you can email us at mustaphaoubouz@gmail.com and we will process the deletion manually.
12. Security
We protect your data with industry-standard measures, including:
- TLS encryption in transit between your device and our backend.
- Encryption at rest for stored images and database content (provided by Supabase).
- Row-level security policies in our database to isolate user data.
- Apple Keychain for any locally cached credentials.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we follow accepted industry practices.
13. Push Notifications
If you grant push notification permission, OutfitForge may send:
- A daily reminder showing today’s recommended outfit (you control this in Settings → Notifications)
- Occasional announcements about new features or important updates
You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings → OutfitForge → Notifications, or by toggling them off in the App.
14. Advertising
Free-tier users see advertisements served by Google AdMob and may opt in to watch a rewarded video advertisement in exchange for credits. Premium users see no advertisements. AdMob’s data handling is governed by its own privacy policy. We do not share your email or wardrobe content with advertisers.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. For material changes, we will notify you in-app or by email at least 7 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the App after the change constitutes acceptance.
16. Contact
